As it got cold, the garden started to die. There were still several green tomatoes on the vine as the plants were starting to die off, so I figured that rather than wasting them, I would try to make some fried green tomatoes. The recipe is actually very simple. Slice up the tomatoes, and batter them with egg, flour, and corn meal. Mine didn't turn out too pretty, the batter was a little lumpy, and a few of them burned, but they were very delicious. They had a nice tangy flavor.

Pork Tenderloin
Built up a few pictures in the queue. This is from a delicious grilled pork tenderloin. I went the easy route and got a pre-marinated one. I wrapped it in foil and cooked it on low for about 40 minutes. Then I unwrapped it and grilled it on high to give some grilled flavor to the outsides. With a little couscous and beans, it made a great meal

I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy...
I got the Joy of Cooking as a gift for Christmas, and it's awesome. I've been so busy cooking, I haven't had any time for blogging :) It's got a great amount of detail and techniques, and is a lot more than just recipes. I've been working the bread section for a while now, and am starting to get the hang of it, but I've got a long way to go.
