As it got cold, the garden started to die. There were still several green tomatoes on the vine as the plants were starting to die off, so I figured that rather than wasting them, I would try to make some fried green tomatoes. The recipe is actually very simple. Slice up the tomatoes, and batter them with egg, flour, and corn meal. Mine didn't turn out too pretty, the batter was a little lumpy, and a few of them burned, but they were very delicious. They had a nice tangy flavor.
