Next on the list of great restaurants in Pittsburgh is Kashmiri's. Near the University of Pittsburgh, one can find several food vendor trucks, that are extremely popular when the weather gets nice. Most of them are nothing to write home about, but a friend turned me on to Kashmiri's, which has very high quality food for being served out of the back of a truck. I am a fan of the Vegetable Biryani, which you can get a huge pile of for $5. The Chicken Tikka Masala is also very good. The truck is usually parked near the Soldiers and Sailor's Memorial these days, which means that in nice weather there are lots of nice places to sit in the grass, or under a tree to enjoy your meal. My only warning about this place is that if you eat a full portion, staying awake when you get back to work will be a monumental struggle.
